Ok I'm sure we've all done it at one stage - gone into work and left the side lights on. Luckily for me, it was half past midnight, tonight.

Does the puma have any audible warning to let you know the lights are on when you switch off or open the door? I know most cars are fitted with something or other but my Jenny seems unbothered abbout letting her battery die out.

Err, yes it does Steve.

One of your switches has probably broken. There's on in the door latch area and one for the interior light. Does your interior light work?

Lots more tales of woe with solutions here:

dont think mine ever made a noise, maybe iv just forgotten what my car was like with an interior

Mine make a noise.

That raises an interesting point actually, if you're going to strip the loom from a door, do it to a pre 98 car so you have the push to break switches in the hinge slam rather than the microswitch in the latch.

interior light comes on when i switch of yes. i think its a little tempermental though as it doesn't always come on.

The buzzer is in the control unit, behind the fuze box, next to the column. Not sure if all model years had them fitted, though. It's clearly shown on the relavent wiring diagram in the TIS. If the interior light is dodgy, then the buzzer is likely to be dodgy, as well.
