Hi, Am having a problem matching the Melina Blue paint (Puma 1.7, 1999)

Anyone help with the exact paint

So far tried two paint suppliers - both turned out a darker shade of the Blue.

Thanks

Martin's is Medium Steel Blue, not Melina Blue Yip ;)

I've always found Ford themselves to have the best matching paint. Might be a bit dearer, but worth it in my opinion.

Hi - local Ford dealer (Scottish Borders) said they no longer make this shade in a spray?

Cock-o-poppy.

Thanks for the contacts/links will give these suppliers a go

Bye, much appreciated

I have the same colour puma and I just used the halfords ones. Was pretty cheap and with the lacquer on it's hard to tell apart. Metallic paint is very hard to match perfectly, a job for the professionals.

Had the same problem just look at the photo's of my Puma, there isn't a panel that is the same colour :| in the end I just gave up trying. Suspect my only opinion is a total re-spray or body wrap?

However at the moment its being used as a trackday car so any colour will do!!!! I can always give it a respray when it becomes a classic and goes into retirement for the coastal runs and ford shows

Good luck and happy hunting !!!!

De Beer´s Melina Blue MICA 579 (BeroBase 500) is pretty close to original color I think. I have used lots of it with my Puma. Local paint shop filled a spray can with it for me. De Beer´s products should be available in the UK too.

When I had mine I tried Halfords - turned out navy. The Ford one was a perfect match.

^ agree its the only way to get a decent finish, unless you are an expert and have all the equipment.
