My first Puma

Hey!
I'm Dan, i'm 18, and i'm from Swaffham, in Norfolk.
I've now bought my first Puma, for my winter car, while my other car is being restored.
I've got a 2000 1.4 in panther black.
All my friends keep laughing at me, saying i've turned gay and that i'm now becoming a hairdresser because of the car, but I don't care, I love it!

Welcome! Yeh you get used to it but as you will know they are amazing to drive. If you can't smile when driving a puma you have no pulse :grin:

What patch said. We all get the hairdressers comments but ask them to put their money where they're mouth is and get them on a track for their V5 documents...they'll soon shut their mouth's.....mine did!!

A friend of mine has a shorty. Amazing little thing :thumbs: Yours looks awesome. Also most people either call you a hairdresser, chav or A**hole depending on what car you drive the later reserved for BMW and Audi drivers

Welcome aboard! Don't worry about what other people say....they know absolutely nothing. Just watch the Clarkson video....it's sooooo amazing. Just look at them in the face and say 'car of the year 1997 as approved by Clarkson and co and by the way...I'm not that insecure about my sexuality'. Look on the net at the reviews...I haven't found one bad one. If you've got a 1.4 it's only 2 seconds difference 0-60 from the 1.7. That'll shut them up. One guy passed a comment to me who prefers the 1992 Escort and wondered why I got rid of my rust bucket of a 4 door Escort Turbo Diesel which did 0-60 in an hour!! His excuse was 'well it's got TD written on the back! It's crazy how illogical some people can be. Clarkson included many of the early 90's Escorts in his 'Crap Cars' book......say no more. People just talk out of thier rear ends most of the time just for the sake of causing an argument. I try to respect everyones taste no matter what they like at the end of the day....as long as they are happy. Friend you have just bought one heck of a sexy car ......enjoy it and drive!!! I did actually say I saw the one in the avatar. From the context of the other posts I thought there was a bigger picture of it.

hiya, i bought missfliss when i lived in swaffham (well i was in castle acre, just up the road!)...had to go to some godforsaken little village garage to get her but, oh boy, i love her to bits! : )
yours looks very nice, too - does she/he have a name??

I've named my mini Roger, but I can't think of a Puma name..
