It was in good condition, couldn't find a mark on it. But there are quite a few 500s for around the £8k mark so time to keep looking. I've still not ruled out an FN2 either

I agree that is seems on the higher end of a budget for a pre-facelift ST especially since all it really has over a standard ST is stripes and red leather seats.

Second hand ST prices seem to vary wildly at the moment. I've found a 57 plate ST-2 in Sea Grey that has 40k miles for £8000 so I'm going to go have a look at the weekend
