2002 Magnum grey Ford Puma Thunder 1.7 for sale spares or repair, MOT failure. 93,022 miles. Will be SORN from the end of July. £395
I bought it in 2010 it has been parked for the last 5 years except for MOTs since I had a slipped disc and has been started regularly. It’s done 20 miles in this time. Steering wheel was a new replacement in 2009.
The good -
Starts 1st time, engine runs well, gearbox and clutch still feel good.
4 x as new Michellin Pilot Sport 3 tyres fitted with less than 10 miles on them!
New front discs and pads, new N/S/F spring and new fuel pump and filter 2 years ago (around 10 miles use)
Folder of receipts and old MOTs and service stamps up to 85,581 (2010). Had a couple of services after that but no stamps. 3 keys, Ford folder with original brochures.
Hub remover tool, stereo remover tool, wheel locking nut key. Recent windscreen wipers. Wing mirror fixing instructions with a couple of parts (not everything to do the job).
Original radio/CD player works, with code
Battery is about 2 years old and has been disconnected most of the time.
New air filter.
Heater, air con and heated front and rear screens worked last time I used them.
I have the missing covers for the passenger door after fitting mirror.
Nearly full 4L Castrol Magnatec and new 5L Miller’s Alpine antifreeze included.
Apparently the reg plate means something interesting in Welsh!
The bad -
MOT repair list - see photo.
Small amount of rust on rear arches.
Bonnet has a dark patch and shuts at a slight angle but opens and closes ok.
Scuff and shallow indentation on driver’s door from someone parking badly.
Driver’s window works but sticks if opened more than halfway, will go up if pulled. Passenger side ok.
Think the heat shield may be loose.
Timing belt needs doing.
And of course a parcel shelf clip is broken!
Will be gutted to see this go but hopefully will be useful to someone for parts or repair. Car in Swansea, South Wales.
