Now £600

Since my switch back to Microsoft, I have a surplus to requirements maxed-out built to order 2012 Macbook Air Core i7 2.0ghz with 8Gb RAM and 256Gb SSD - just had a brand new battery and for some reason while it was in they replaced the screen as well under warranty (there wasn't anything visibly wrong with it; guess the original must have been a recall notice or something).

Looks brand new - I shit you not, this thing is perfect - even the guy in the Apple Store said, "We don't often get them in looking like this! Looks like you've just taken it out of the box!" when I took it in to get the new battery (at a cost of £100) so it's in tip top condition ready for sale.

It's got AppleCare warranty until the end of June. Comes with the charger. I do still have the box somewhere in storage and purchase of this laptop comes with the promise that when it turns up I will forward it on, but will almost certainly not be available at the time of sale.

£700 £600, located in Reading. Happy to courier to wherever you are. (this spec 13" with i7 processor, new battery and a bit of AppleCare left go for nearer £800 on eBay, but to save faff, fees and Nigerians, I'm offering it at what I'd ultimately end up with if I went down the eBay route)

New lid with sticker still attached to Apple logo:

Hard to comment without it sounding negative to the thread and I know the mods don't approve of it but you requested thoughts and some know I'm not shy and speak my mind

If your in the market for one then fair enough but as a impulse purchase it might be a bit rich for some mate.
Not trying to put a dampener on your thread as it does look roughly around market value and if your prepared to wait for a buyer then stick it out.

Don't be concerned so soon after posting the thread because no ones snapped it up. It simply isn't at a snap it up price for someone to think they're getting a bargain and anyone looking for one have many around the price your asking to compare it with.

Good luck anyway and hope my thoughts were useful and not taken in any wrong context. Not my style or intention ;)

Cheers, Paul - you haven't said anything negative at all; pretty much exactly how it is.

I realise it's not a "bargain" but I don't think I'm taking the piss either - it's priced to reflect the spec and condition; when buying a second hand computer, particularly with non-user replaceable battery and solid state drive that has a finite number of read/write cycles it's good to know much wear there has been (in this case, 89% of the drive's useful life left and a brand new battery, not to mention the bonus brand new screen!)

I also understand it's not the sort of thing you buy on a whim; but if someone was in the market for a Macbook Air, I'm pretty confident they won't find a better one for the money!

I'm not in any hurry and wasn't concerned as such, just surprised it had as many views as it did without comment. If you wanted to buy a similar spec today new, you'd be handing over the wrong side of £1200!

If no-one's interested, I'll stick it on eBay; it's just a bit too good for an eBay randomer hence offering it up on here first.

Beautiful machine, I have the same, although a bit older (at 4 GB then maximum), works like a charm. Still don't understand why you switched back to windows machine as OSX is waaaay better IMHO....
Good luck, anyway, someone will get very nice machine

Price dropped to £600. Now firmly in the bargain territory as per Paul's advice above.
