puddle in footwell

Hi,

Just got in the car and the drivers footwell is full of water. I'm pretty sure it's coming in from somewhere behind the pedals but I can't see without taking the whole carpet out.

Has anyone had this before?

Is there a place that the leaks usually come from?

any help gratefully received.

Have a quick search - there's a miriad of threads regarding this subject and there's several areas that could be the cause.

I'm sure someone who's had this problem will point you in the right direction as it's happened to many but in the meantime have a quick gander at previous cases.

if its the drivers, more than likely coming through the scuttle plate in the top of the engine bay and running down the inside of the arch.

It takes a while for the water to accumulate after a rain storm, as the underlay and sound deadening absorb it.

or it could just be a door seal or windscreen seal
