Hi all, i'm new to the forum so thought i'd introduce myself.

Ive just sold my 205 rally car and decided to buy a puma and prep it myself. I have little spanner ability so it will be a bit of a challenge. But looking on the forum there's plenty of advice available.

I was originally going for a 1600 but as there is only 10hp between 1600 and 1400 I decided to go for the 1400.

I have now bought a 1.4 in pacific green with just 50k on the clock. Seems a real shame to start stripping her.

I'll post some updates as I go on, and I'm sure ill start posting some questions.

I have copies of the ford motorsport prep manuals....loads of details.

s1400 is basically a trackday car, mainly standard parts 100+ pages £15
s1600 is more like £100,000+ build, ali parts, independent rear suspension etc, 160 pages £25

I did have a 1.7...great car, I've got the 1.4 to be in a certain rally class but I will be increasing the power anyway together with suspension and brake mods.

Yeah ill have a copy of the manual. Do u want me to send a PM?
