Hi all,

Friend at work is looking for a garage/skilled person in the midlands (Coventry area but can travel) that can carry out the above work.

Have found replacement calipers on Ebay at £60 but need/want to do both sides and moneys tight so will look at refurb costs.

Rear calipers siezing regularly now so needs to get the work done ASAP.

Any recomendations welcomed.

Rich.

Assuming the piston is OK you would just need a seal kit, usually between £20 and £30 from somewhere like Bigg Red. Fitting is a very straightforward process. Only moderately awkward part is bleeding the brakes afterwards. However the fact that it is sticking does suggest that the piston may be corroded or damaged.
I suspect getting them rebuilt, even at mates rates would work out as/more expensive than a second hand caliper, though I will admit a replacement caliper would be an unknown quantity.
