Just thought I'd share experience of using the track spacers on my Puma - I've got 20mm (21mm?) spacers on my car which I fitted while changing my rear beam and sprucing up the rear brakes.

So in summary: standard beam + 2x 20mm spacers + standard (ET38) wheels = no rubbing on bodywork (at least I haven't experienced any yet).

Needed to change the ABS sensor but the tip about swapping for an Escort Estate assembly was a good one - I can't remember p/n but it's actually a pair of sensors with the plastic bracket to fit to beam. I needed to be a bit creative fitting the plastic bracket to the beam as the holes don't line up, but if you have a drill and a brain you should be OK.

Oh and you'll need longer bolts to secure backplate onto beam - I measured the old ones which were 30mm thread length x M10, then ordered 8x 50mm M10 10.9 grade bolts (30mm + the 20mm spacer).

The issue with the sensors is that the standard Puma sensors have angled cable entries so that if you space the hubs out the sensors have to go further out as well but the angled sensors will catch on the beam. The Escort estate sensors have straight cable entries so will go as far as the cables will let them with no fouling issues on the beam.
