Remote boot release

Hi,

My remote key fob on my FRP doesn't seem to open the boot when pressed. So I have to open with key.

The remote works when locking & unlocking the doors.

Any ideas?

Could be the micro switch in the key fob, can you hear it click ?
If not they're available on eBay.
Apart from that I've no idea.

Also, it's a double press to pop the boot from memory, you probably tried that but thought it was worth a mention

Otherwise, not a clue I'm afraid.

There's a motor that opens the latch with (double) press of key button or single press of boot button in the light cluster (but not with ignition on). The motor on mine was dying and just did a weak grunt so I changed it. I think the Fiesta 95-02 one fits and the motor itself is probably on other Fords.

You have to remove bumper to change it which isn't as bad as it sounds.
