Since I started smoking, if that's what you can call it, these ecigs I only smoke a rolly when I'm waiting for the ecig to charge. I just had one of my colleagues tailor mades and it tasted like utter shit! It's getting close to me preferring the ecig to my usual Golden Virginia rolly, which I can't say I'm too pleased about, I was determined not to stop smoking tobacco but I think it could well be going that way.

Might have to invest in one of your marital aids and start making my own flavoured 'smokes', if you mis quote that I'll change the text of this thread :p

Anyone got any advice on which ecig rocket/marital aid I should invest in?

GT.

Many years back now I won a client. The MD was a great bloke, but it was in the days of smoking in offices and it was his habit to do this. He was in his forties. When we flew anywhere he always sat at the rear of the aircraft which in those days was a smoking area, which peed me off as I always like to sit as far back in an aircraft as possible (except my own).

Gradually it became harder to smoke and he complained volubly. After all smoking doesn't really harm you / he'd relatives who'd smoked the entire output of the Players factory every week and lived to be 200 / You might be unlucky, but far more likely something else will get you / It's just non-smoking killjoys trying to ruin one of life's pleasures. etc. etc.

Times have moved on. He's retired now and I still count him a friend, though being 150 miles away we don't see each other very often.

We haven't corresponded in a year or more, but I had this in an e-mail yesterday:

"Boringly I am somewhat crippled by breathing problems, COPD is the name they now have what used to be known as emphysema.,the price for years of smoking"

So don't feel too bad about it if you do lose your taste for 'rollys'.

I've used stuff from all these companies and very rarely been disappointed - if I've had any problems, they're all pretty good at sorting you out:

http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I use a ProVari variable voltage battery:

And either a Cobra rebuildable atomiser:

Or an Odyssey Dual Coil tank:

There is absolutely no point in spending that much, though - as other companies have copied the designs and you can now build exactly what I've got using significantly cheaper parts:
Lavatube instead of ProVari: http://www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/parts/lavatube/chrome-lavatube-4-kit.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Aga-T instead of Cobra: http://www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/parts/rebuildable-atomisers/aga-t2-atomizer.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I wouldn't even do that at this stage though - if you're wanting to upgrade from a 'prefilled cartridge'-based ecig to something you can put your own liquids in, that holds a bit more and with a slightly longer battery life, I can recommend this as a good next step up:

You'll probably want to get some spare batteries and atomisers. Batteries last 1-3 months, and atomisers 1-2 months - depends how much you use it and whether you keep it topped up.

When you're bored of that, then start looking at variable voltage batteries and rebuildable atomisers.

What I want to get next is one of these ceramic bad boys:

WB%20660x800-409.jpg

The benefit of this is that there is no wick - you'll find that with tank systems the wicking material gets gunked up after a few refills, or if you don't keep your juice topped up it can get too hot and you get a funky taste until you bin it and get a fresh atomiser. On the rebuildable atomisers you need to replace the wick now and again; this becomes a bit of a pain in the arse after a while.

The point is, there's a fair amount of maintenance involved. This new ceramic technology does away with that - you just pop a few drops of elquid in, vape it up and you're done - nice and clean, no wicking. Oh, and you can get an attachment for vaping... umm... "herbs" if that's your thing.

Not cheap though!

This is my favourite juice at the moment:

Vanilla Bean Ice Cream Ready mixed:
http://alba-vapours.co.uk/vanilla-bean-ice-cream-1?filter_name=vanilla%20bean" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You're probably better off buying a few bottles ready mixed to start with - it all gets a bit hardcore making your own juices with syringes and stuff so you feel like you're in a meth lab.

Flavour concentrate:

Nicotine solution:

Propylene Glycol:

Vegetable Glycerine:
http://alba-vapours.co.uk/mixing-diy-flavours/vg-mixing-liquid-100ml" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You'll also need a syringe and some empty bottles to mix it all up.

I know it's a lot more lo-tech but these are really good

easy, no fuss, cheaper than a pack of 20 and last a lot longer than the 30 they state!
