Rust Speed

Hi,

How quickly does the wheel arch rust spread? Had the Puma 6 weeks and paint is starting to bubble on the 'good' side for the first time.

Will need to get some funds together for arches to be cut out and replaced so would be useful to have some idea how long..................

Does it spread upwards or just get worse along the lip?

Ive had mine for about 18 months now and the bubbling on my rear arch has increased maybe an inch?

It really depends on several factors, such as where you live (Coastal areas will rust way quicker then inland) where the car is stored, how often it is cleaned etc.

The best thing you can probably do it attack it while it is fairly minimal and you may be able to get away with just some sanding back, treatment and a respray rather then having new arches cut in if it is allowed to eat through the metal

how long is a piece of string? it is entirely subjective. you could reakky slow it with the correct treatment
