iv'e been able to order all sorts of obscure parts for the puma, I thought it was only trim parts that were unavailable..

can only presume the amount of rotten ones out there must be HUGE and they've been used up :?

I've been trying to get hold of a pair 'just in case' but to no avail, even from my usual good sources. Tracked a pair down to a Ford dealer in Greece of all places, even got a Greek friend from work to write the email for me, however they replied last week and said the stock list was out of date, they've long since gone.

Do Ford destroy all the original tooling when the cease making parts? Far fetched idea, but with the high to us (but probably very low to Ford) demand, do you think there is any chance of them being made in the future again, or someone being allowed to buy / borrow / blag (all highly unlikely!) the tooling?

Goes off to smell some coffee....

There's twp companies in West Yorkshire willing/interested in making moulds for them but without originals to inspect they are unable to provide a quote. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get that far.

West Yorkshire - only round the corner, shame I have none to copy!

IIRC, Pumabuild, or Pumaspeed, offered to buy all the tooling from Ford, but Ford declined and scrapped it all.

Perhaps someone has a contact at Ford that could get a copy of the drawings, as I doubt Ford would have scrapped them as well.

I have no problem with taken my car to pumaspeed if it helps at any point, not that far from me and do enjoy a trip there every so often.

NHC Panels and Ex-Pressed Steel Panels Ltd were the companies who got back to me about copies of full sills.

The Aberdeen company did say they could do a length of curved metal to match the rear arch arch, which I am happy to arrange if anyone would like this, no one piped up to say so though so I didn't pursue it. Drop me a PM if you do want this and I will get numbers together for a price. Failing that however I'm sure any metal work would be able to do this.

Just an update on this - Mike from Ex-Pressed just came to pick up my sills and arch replacement panels. At first glance he's quietly confident they can replicate them, and will do so better than anyone else - they specialise in reproducing "out of print" Ford panels.

He's going to let me know if it's a definite goer next week after they've had a go at making them. In the meantime - please get your name on the list as we need a minimum of 50 orders to make this happen.

No indication of price at this stage. More information to follow as I get it.

They're also going to try and reproduce the Puma-Schmeide arch replacement panels as I gave them a set of those too.

Hi Rob - price depending you can put me down for two sets rather than 1....

Depending on if a set is both sides or not I'd need 1 or 2 sets
From the Facebook chat, I'm going to note this down as a pair of arch replacement panels for my own future reference.
