Hi all I need another bit of ICE advice this time on speakers. I want to replace the speakers in the front and rear of my Puma. I have been looking in Halfords and on Ebay for speakers and have narrowed it down to 1 set on each but I'm not sure which to spend my money on.

Do I spend £23 for the front & £20 for the rear speakers for these ones on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pyle-Gear-Yellow-5x7-Pair-Of-2-Way-Coaxial-Car-Door-Speakers-480w-Ford-Mazda-/230735972705?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item35b8ef8961#ht_1653wt_1186" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

OR

Spend £30 for the front and £35 for the rear and buy these FLI's
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_768517_langId_-1_categoryId_265870" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have some knowledge on speakers and realise the power on the ones from Ebay are better but I don't know if it would be better to spend abit more and buy a brand which I am familiar with (My dad has 5x7 FLI's in his KA and I put 6" FLI's in my Escort a few years ago)

fli is shit
That's just a matter of opinion... we all have our own views. I have a Fli active sub, and I think it is very good.

All the OP can do is listen to constructive criticism and make their own mind up.

So, back to the original question.....
I've not had the benefit of hearing any of those makes, but just going by looks only (and not previous comments), I would say the first ones look a bit more rugged/sturdier.

15 year old 10w ford speakers are shit & on their way out hence the need to replace

well i duno about the sub they may be ok like you say but i had a set of 6x9 and they wasnt as good as i thort

think i'll get the cheap ones from ebay, the last aftermarket speakers i got from ebay were the dogs

I had a 12" fli sub and wasn't at all impressed, as mentioned its personal opinion though, however i will always recommend JBL for budget subs and components

I have Fli speakers. I'm pretty impressed with them. I can upload a video for you

they are yes, but seem to distort very easily off a head unit, maybe they will be better ran off an amp, i usually run components of a small amplifier (300-400 watt)
