Sticking speedo

Hi my speedo keeps sticking on zero when I set off, If I give the dash a good bash it comes back and jumps up to where it should be. Thought I better get it sorted though before one day it does not!
Any help much appreciated but please in simple terms, cheers folks :-D

All the others work, and the mileometer is in the speedo, was kinda hoping it was just a little nylon cog or something in the back that can be relpaced but do you think it is more?

well in any case you will have to take it out so do that and just have a look 1st see if any thing looks out of place

Probably an easier job to change the entire clock unit than start taking it apart.

Need to know whether you have analogue or digital clocks - think you will be digital already with that date - then find a set with mileage as close to yours as possible.

Its also possible to change the mileage but that adds about another £25.
