My head gasket blew recently, and the quotes I was getting gave me two options: scrap it or try repairing it myself. So I'm trying the slightly foolish second option and, so far, it's going quite well. I say foolish as it's a step up from the repairs I've done up to now. I'm certainly getting to know the engine!
I'm at the stage of loosening the camshaft pulleys and taking the timing belt off. I've got the tools for setting TDC but I'm not sure of the location of the bolt that is blanking off the hole for the crankshaft timing pin.
Any pointers towards where I'll find it?

Thanks in advance...

This should help you, also theres a how to for a cambelt change on Puma People

no 27 I believe back of the engine below the drivers drive shaft iirc

Thanks! I found it, just above the drive shaft as it turns out. And those instructions will help me get the timing right on the rebuild - gotta try and get my head round setting the vct correctly...
