Your eyes? :D

Really it depends what kind of fault you're trying to diagnose, flat tyre, buckled wheel, low brake pads, warped discs, something electrical?, windows not going down, boot not opening?

I'm going to make a non sarcastic attempt to answer beckalike's question and say its probably an obd 2 reader you need.

I recently bought one like this for my 2000 1.7

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/U480-Universal-OBD2-CAN-BUS-Fault-Code-Reader-Scanner-diagnostic-scan-tool-UK-/221039216694?pt=UK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item3376f6c836#ht_1709wt_1170" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Welcome aboard becalike :thumbs:

I got one of those too.
Mine would not read any faults in the abs system though. Having said that the specialist I used found that the Ford specific system they had would not read them either and had to use their generic system to pinpoint the faults.

Do you think this was down to your particular car then ? as I seem to recall the book that came with the reader did have abs faults listed in it, although this doesnt mean the reader is capable of reading those faults I suppose.

What year is your car?
