Hi all, I've been looking for an aftermarket exhaust, I don't want a loud noise box, just a bit louder than now with similar quality exhaust sound, I really like the original one, but don't wanna annoy the neighbours with the noise much. A little bit is still okay though.

I remember a topic showing different aftermarket exhaust sounds, but can't find it now and if I'm right someone mentioned milltek ones are good as well.
I've found this on ebay, is this any good? Or any recommendations? Cheers

I have a Sportex rear box on a standard system with centre box/silencer.

During 'normal' driving its not very load and gives a little burble on idle.
It does make a bit of noise when you really stick your foot down but it isn't obnoxiously loud.

I'd suggest you'd need the Hoffmann Race Tube and Hoffmann Back Box - https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/sis.html?_itemId=351601831964&_nkw=Ford+Puma+1+7+Hoffmann+Race+Exhaust+System&_trksid=p2047675.m4099.l9146

Less expensive than the standard exhaust system. Good quality, not overloud at all and does a burble on the overrun. Like you, I didn't want a loud exhaust and even hung onto the old backbox, in case the Hoffmann one was too loud...even though I'd researched this and knew it would be OK. It was OK. :)

Don't forget the gasket - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Ford-Exhaust-Gasket-Ford-Puma-1-4-1-7-1998-to-2001-/131536744594?hash=item1ea0337092:g:WZwAAOSwpDdVIbuG
