Hey guys, drove around 150 miles today, smoke from bonnet then smoke stopped, parked up at home, came out half an hr later and car wont start, battery and oil lights are on. Put new oil in and still nothing. She's not even trying to tick over, 1st thought was battery but shouldnt be dead since ive been driving alot today.

sounds like you have a short somewhere or a loose connection on alternator or battery,do dials do a sweeping movement when you try to start the car,if it does then its the battery...
