Morning guys, first post here but have been mooching on the forum for information over the last few weeks.
I'll try to keep it short and sweet for now as I don't have many updates (plus this is more for me to log my progress as am not sure how active the forum is nowadays?).
Background: I worked for Ford a number of years ago and took a little green Puma in PX for a new Zetec S Fiesta. We didn't give the chap any money for the Puma but it saved him the hassle of selling it privately, I guess he wasn't that fussed. It sat out the back with the PX cars and awaited the weekly trader visit, as it was not one we would put on the forecourt due to age. I couldn't let it go, I had to buy it myself. £100 later and it was on my driveway.
The missus and I used it as a runabout whilst I had my "proper car" for fun weekend drives. At the time this was either a Nissan S13 with an SR20DET, and MX5 turbo or a Celica GT4, I can't remember which one...
The Puma lived on the street, having it's wing mirrors snapped off by crackheads and tree sap ruining it's paint, the battery and tyres were going flat, it was just neglected as other cars came and went.
We moved house and the Puma came with, but it was seriously on it's last legs. I sold my drift cars and bought a sensible daily in the form of a comfy Jag S Type, the Puma's time had come. I had always loved driving it and often drove it much faster than it's more powerful stablemates, I was finally allowed to turn the Puma into a track car since my other half wanted something newer!
I dragged the Puma out of it's pigeon-sh*t-splattered space and got it down to my rented garage.
The goal: lose as much weight as is safely possible, polybushes, exhaust, coilovers, brakes, tyres, paint, send her on track for cheap thrills.
I'll update with pics in the next post.
