Thanks, I think I was clutching (lol) at straws as it is defi shot - if I rest my foot on the clutch it does it more so the bite point must be right at the top of the pedal now - it feels so strong selecting and changing gears I was looking for something else in hope I guess - however if I move...

I have a most odd issue that I thought was the clutch on its way out, slipping in high gear low speed and flooring it so revs rise but speed does not that has happened last 2 days but as its been really wet and greasy I tired it again on the way home to then suddenly not have that issue. Now...

I think you lot are probably right, I have a 'box of tech' full of all the old things I bought upgrades of and am planning to sell on ebay..... I imagine a car breaking is a garage + shed full of stuff to sell on ebay :wink:

Cheers Ian, is it easy enough to get to - i understand its on the front of the gearbox?? I have jacks and a gravel drive so accessible? (i'm guessing you will have a few if i cant get one locally??)

As per title, apparently my reverse light flicks on and off when i reverse and it seems to be in relation to the clutch being in or out... Is this going to be the reverse light switch on the gearbox or something else??

Mine is making same noise, its the exhaust heat shield on mine thats gradually got worse and sounds like its now sitting on the exhaust :o
