Hi,

Background - 2000 Puma 1.7 owned for 3 months. Previous lady owner had spent a fortune on it over last 4 years and had a file with all receipts in. Uses no oil, immaculate inside, only downside are the rusty arches. Owner knew which oil was used and tyre pressures etc.

Only strangeness is the antifreeze - it's old school blue. Lady knew it and knew which brand it is and had just had it changed after 2 years by local garage who had flushed the old stuff out and put the blue in after a coolant hose leak a while ago.

It's lovely and clean and it hasn't used a drop in 3 months.................

Now the Puma is in for bodywork doing next month and with a finite budget I planned to have the squeaky when cold aux belt changed and a few paint blemishes sorted.

Next cambelt/water pump change is next Summer. Do I get the antifreeze changed now to the 'correct' spec or hang on for next Summer?
