hi for some reason i have to push the boot button 3 to 4 times before it will open, i can here the motor working and when the boot is open i can see the lock working, my boot struts dont keep the boot open, any ideas, thanks

If the struts don't keep the boot open then they are probably too weak to lift the boot enough to clear the lock/catch when you open it...

Either way it sounds like you need to replace one or both of the struts.
