Hi,
Yes, happy to post - I would ensure that they were wrapped very securely with lots of bubble wrap etc. Would also send by a secured tracked system eg. Parcelforce or a courier of your choice. Would have to check on price but would estimate around £10.

I'm really only in need of the nearside light - would you sell separately? If not I quite understand, could you send me some photos on WhatsApp please, hopefully showing that all clips are intact and the overall condition. Also the price required for one, or both. My number 07870704093 Thanks

Pumasteve - I'm a bit perplexed - I called you today but you didn't seem to know what I was talking about!

After, lacquer gone not best light but shiny!
Haven't cleaned inside or put new bulbs in yet, job for Monday I think!
Well done, photos show how headlights come apart. Make sure to clean the lens and reflectors. 4 clips to separate the front from the back.

So are you pleased with that? How much did it cost?
I am pleased that the lacquer has been taken off. At the moment the jury is out about the anti uv coating that was put on afterwards as that looks like a lot of pva glue has been sloshed on it unevenly. I was assured it would dry and go clear but that hasn't happened yet.
£45 to clean off lacquer is good he spent an hour doing that. But don't pay the extra fiver for the uv coat is my advice at the moment!

If the UV coating doesn't clear, them call him back and get him to remove it for free, as its faulty !
I tried spaying a UV lacquer on mine and it didn't work, was very blotchy, so now I just use a decent wax polish every few months,

Cubatoo,

Hi, if you do need to split the headlamp units to clean them, be aware that like most old plastic, the connecting clips will most likely snap off when you try to separate them!

I found that 3 of the 4 clips had been snapped off, some time after having the Aircon compressor replaced by an independent garage, for an Aircon specialist! It looked like they didn't have a clue the restraining device under the unit was holding it and "yanked" it all free from the car body, etc !!!

If you do take the units off, make sure you give them plenty of time in somewhere warm (to reduce plastic brittleness), before attempting to separate them, at those clips! 🥵

If the clips do break off, always remember that green coated garden wire is the old Puma's friend, for holding everything together! 🤭😂

........Makes more sense with the photos! Now from my pc, as not on my phone! ....

Oh yes as well, the second photo has the headlamp unit restraint device highlighted in red on the underside! That slides over the device on the body (a bit like the head of a very large round headed nail, as if left sticking slightly out of the body), at the bottom of the lamp unit aperture!

I seem to recall that Tom Ebbs posted a photo of his Yellow Millennium a couple of months ago, with the RHS lamp unit removed, that showed the body part of the restraining device. It also let you see the RHS lamp unit Earth wire going to the front slam panel / cross member (not sure of correct term for it!), towards bottom of body aperture! That Earthing point might be worth checking if good or not, to ensure the RHS lamp unit has a good Earth and isn't dimmed if it is a poor Earth?

Maybe Tom can add that photo, for info.?
