Can spray in primer?

Hi all I only have one car now but relly what to do a paint job but sill need to drive it if sand it down and spray the primer on will it be ok as I'm only going to do the prim then let the pros paint it ??

Wouldnt advise it as primer is porous

I think I read it absorbs moisture as well

I think it would be ok, if you just key the surface of the paint first. As long as its not on bare metal I don't think you'll have too much problem with it being porous, it'll just have to be dried before its painted. But best bet is to ask a bodyshop for the definitive answer.

Btw what primer were you going to use? Its not a good idea to use 1K, you want 2K, or it'll be a nightmare.

I'm sill picking the paint I'm going for candy green or midnite black and you need the rite primer for the paint
