hello

I just replaced the HCV and Thermostate and sensor of my puma
cause the temperature gauge got almost into red

I thought the problem would be solved but it didn't help
I noticed that my radiator isn't getting hot neither the
pipe from the thermostate towards radiotor .

is it possible that the thermostate doesn't work.?
or doesn't the pump work.?

I had to drive with hot air on to get home, and every stop I made
the temperature got down until I started to drive again.

grtz

yes I did, is a defective waterpump perhaps the problem?
cause the pipe between radiator and thermostate wasn't hot at all,

i had the blower on maximum hot to get the heat out of the engine

if your getting heat out of the heater then its not the water pump as the pump circulates the water, did you put the thermostat in the right way round and correct way up,try lifting the coolant tank up as high as the hoses allow you to,this should help clear any air locks left in the system, also try replacing the coolant tank cap aswell....

and another option

when I drive the temprature rises, as soon I have to stop it's going down
it doesn't make sense

and the radiator isn't get hot at all
could that be the problem, .?

the thermostate can only fit one way so that won't be the problem
have installed it the same way as it came out.

but can it be the radiator??

when you fit the new thermostat you need to fill the system with hot water as the valve wont open and you wont bleed the system properly

thx, but just found out that the waterpump is the problem after removing the thermostate
I checked the propellor with my finger and I can move it all the way around.

I bought yesterday a new waterpump which im going to install this very long weekend
