F1 Wheels as fitted to limited edition Blacks

Need to cosmetically tidy a set of reasonable F1's.
How are the dummy plastic "split-rim" nuts fitted, are they glued to rim or plugged into blind holes?
Will the plastic be affected if sprayed and lacquered using aerosols?
Can anyone recommend any of the wheel refurb kits advertised on E-bay?
Any advice will be much appreciated.

I can't answer your question as I've not seen the wheels up close but I can't imagine painting them will have a negative effect.

I have these fitted to my car, i think the plastic nuts are either scrwed in or plugged in. 4 of mine have sheered off. Im not sure if I can find replacements or i might rummage around my diy store to see if i can find a match that I could fit. I think it would be fine to spray them. mine need a refurb and Im sure that these will have to be painted along with the rim, as tring to remove them causes the heads to break off.
