front lower strut brace fitment issue

anyone else had issues with the omp front strut brace? i bought one 2nd hand which had a few scrapes on it, i didnt think much of them, but having gone to fit the thing, it very slightly fouls the bottom of the gearbox. it still bolts up fine but theres definitely very slightly contact there.

im wondering if anyone else has had issues, or whether its very tight for anyone else? or perhaps those scrapes have deformed it, although is still bolted up ok?

Take an hammer to the strut brace.

yeah to be fair my mounts have taken some abuse :lol: ive got some liquid polyurethane and had planned to beef up the mounts at some stage, ill get that done and try refitting it.

Had same issue after fitting ours. But once mounts were replaced its not an issue anymore.

also check the strut brace is straight. I banana'd two in the time i had a fwd puma. Enthusiastic driving over bumpy B roads and a few jumps and they soon end up being a makeshift sump guard!!!
