how the hell do you compress them in to fit new pads and disks?

they seem to screw to a certain distance and they dont compress at all... PLEASE HELP

normally I do mate but the rear st170 ones seem to screw in and DONT compress. thanks any ways

Chris - you need a tool to wind them in, the tool extends against the front of the caliper as you twist the piston in. The calipers are as per any Mk1 Focus or Fiesta ST, so the tool should be readily available, plus many other cars use a similar system.

Are you definately screwing it the right way?
