Gearbox code????

Hi guys and girls,

Looking on a certain site for a box, found one but it has a (code), how or where do I find this code so I no I am buying the right gearbox, standard V plate 1.7!!!!

Not sure about a specific code but I'm pretty sure any IB5 gearbox will fit.

Don't take my word for it as I'm sure someone will confirm k:

Yes any IB5 should fit but they do have a variety of final drive ratios, that is probably where the code comes in. Having said that I know not which code is which, sorry.

I just had a fiesta 1.4 gearbox put on my puma, was a little apprehensive but it dropped straight in.

Are all puma boxes the same then, would have thought the gearing was diffent......

Anyway, have one now, just waiting to collect it,

The box is the same so will fit, but the ratios are different.
