your heater will get warm when then engine does,its not an instant heater it runs off the engine and when that warms up so does the heater
 
Yeah I know that. It's just my Renaults were lightning fast. Just thought there might be something wrong with it as it's as slow as a snail compared to them :|
 
Could potentially. The heater in my old 1.7 isn't lightning fast either, but it's furnace warm after about five minutes (incidentally, the HCV is knackered, so it's furnace warm regardless of the weather).

If it's on half heat it takes about 10mins :(
 
ofcourse it will as your not letting all the heat into the cabin compared to as if the temp was turned to maximum, so will take longer for the cabin to warm up....
