Need to change the idler pulley as it's making a hell of a racket.
Went to local Ford to get a quote and was told it would cost just over £70 for both, and I'd have to wait as it would be special order from the factory (if they had it)! Seriously??!! :shock:
Politely passed and went to local motor factors, getting both for £41 with no waiting.
I know factory parts are normally more expensive, but having to wait and being quoted nearly double is taking the Michael.

Rant over.

I was wondering what's the best (easiest) way to remove the aux belt?
Had a look on the 'How to' section and found details on replacing the water pump, which includes removing belt. Is this the best way to go? http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=16797" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I bought new a bearing which I pressed in rather than buying a whole new idler. Cost me about £6

Good idea, but mine was too far gone for that.
Found it in the 'How to' section. All sorted and NO MORE SQUEAK! :p
