i only have i key for my car which is greif waiting to happen - i know you can program a third key if you have two but if i got this does anyone have an idea how much it would cost (roughly) to get this programed for my car and if there is anyone in London/Essex who you would recommend? I know Goodnight girl on here could probably help but i`m not keen on the idea of posting my only working key . . . .

I am in the exact same predicament, in London too so will be closely watching this thread for advice. :)

I'll keep a lookout on this thread as well, as the key section in the garage list only has recommendations for key specialists in Nottingham, Sheffield, Hull and Glasgow.

Report back on how you get on and I'll add them to the list if appropriate.

I've emailed a place for a quote, probably won't get a reply until Monday but I'll keep you updated.

This is the link in short:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300544393167" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

His link had 'ithttp' at the front when it should have been just 'http'

To the original poster, going by the picture they look a bit old/shabby with just new blanks put on. I managed to get totally brand new ones for £25 inc P&P a couple of years back so a few quid more and you should be able to get the same, depends how quick your after one. Best asking the sellers if it's compatible with yours and ask if they're prepared to refund you the total cost if it doesn't work.

cheers for that Yip - i should have spotted that , when you get a second key i don`t suppose you know the best way to go about coding it do you? - i`m assuming i will need to find a auto electrician in my area

Yes, if you only have one key currently then you can't do it by yourself so an auto-electrician/dealer is the way to go.

thanks Red, i will report back if i find a good one in the London\Essex area

You need to make sure your new key is the earlier type with a red PATS chip.Later ones have a blue one that won't work on a Puma
