Knocking from drivers side front

Ive got a knocking coming from the drivers side front when I got over bumps and when on left full lock. It also makes a knock when I pick up speed in 1st and 2nd. I've had the near side cv done the other day and the mechanic said the other cv was fine. The steering has also gone a little light but I'm not sure whether this is something to do with the rear trailing arm bushes.

Mine clonks as you describe because of a bad inner cv joint.

Do you get vibration when the car is loaded with excess weight/passengers?

Could be your wishbone bush. That would cause similar symptoms to what you have.
