Hi team, I could do with some advice please.
I've got a nice 4-2-1 exhaust manifold to go on my 1.7. Already has a Hoffmann exhaust. I'm thinking that the fuelling/ignition timing/cam timing would benefit from a tweak to take advantage of reduced back pressure. Also, a bit of a crackle would be nice too.
I'm able to get the standard map via MPPS and an OBD cable (am assuming this works OK).
1) Ideally I would also like some catalyst solution so that I don't get an engine light on. Can anyone recommend a catalyst that would fit on the end of Toyo manifold? I think it's about 2 1/4" diameter.
2) Are there any 'free' engine maps available that I could just upload into ecu? Or does this require delicate surgery to get the parameters just right?
3) Assuming I've done both of the above, will it still pass MoT? It's a 2001 Y reg, using the DIVE ECU.
