Took my car for its MOT a few weeks back and it passed woo! Had a few things that were close to failing though,

1. Hand break cable is on its way out
2. Exhaust back box is starting to blow slightly
3. And finally my rear shoes are going to need looking at

So i booked my car in for the service a week later but had to cancel because of my broken foot so havent had any of the above sorted yet. But iv been looking around for a new back box, want something thats loud but nothing chavy or really expensive,
any tips?

Hey. Depending on your budget, maybe consider a cat-back system rather than back box, they sound a bit better and can make a slight difference in performance. If you just go for a back box, you could go for a Piper one-they're fairly loud and deep (youtube them) or get one custom made by Powerflow, Exhausts UK, Wolfrace etc etc. Something like that will set you back around £140-£170 roughly for a stainless steel one.

Being a universal, you'll need to get someone (like an exhaust specialist) to fit it for you and just be warned as it is universal that the actual back box will fit, as I had that problem with a universal exhaust in my old car. Oh and a 5'' exit is pretty big but if you like it then thats fine just make sure u realise lol.

The Piper back boxes are supposed to go straight on to an existing center.

Not much experience as I just bought a cat back system.

Let us know what you decide though :D

*I see Chris has suggested Piper too ;)

Me personaly woulnt go for a round pipe if you dont want it to look chavy especially if its 5" one. I would sudgest a backbox with an oval tip no bigger than 4" if you want to keep it subtle. Plus the standard ones are oval so if it aint broke dont fix it.

Oval with a subtle slash would be the best of both worlds I think.

Oh shock, that's what I have on my Milltek

:D

Alternitively by dals car its easier :-D im sure he would do you good deal as he is such a nice bloke :pinkeye: :derr: :pinkeye:

Yeah, make me an offer, the worst I can do is say no.. :eek:k:

This is my exhaust for what it's worth:

(Doesn't look like the pictures on the website though)

I had a few other things done at the same time as Pumaspeed fitted it last year so not sure how much Tony charged me ;)
It's on their website now at £329.99
I wouldn't have any other sort of exhaust on my puma now - love it :D
