How long does it take for no claims bonus to go back up again?

Well after a year's insurance with no claims you have 1 year no claims bonus. Hence me thinking I must be misunderstanding something!

No, from when the new policy starts.

If your policy is for arguments sake April 2009 to April 2010 and you have an accident today, you'll not get any no claims this policy year. You'd need to wait until April 2011 until you've had a full years worth of no claims.

Unless you cancelled your policy and so didn't continue to April 2010. Then take out another now so your next full years of no claims would be October 2010.

Now up to 7 years

Mine took 10 months with Admirals for the first two "years" , then I lost 3 due to an accident, now almost back to 5!
