Unbelievable how incautious people are, right?! My parents drive a black 2008 Ford Focus Titanium, and my mum has to go shopping with it. They don't have a typical "Ford Fiesta Shopping Car" So in the parking lot it's always panicky: "Will no one hit a door against my car?"

A few weeks ago my mum walked back to the Focus and she saw a woman bent over next to the Focus. She didn't really pay attention to it, but when she reached the car the woman walked away... leaving a dent in the door, a little spit on it and wipe marks on it! Before my mum realised what just happend, the woman was gone. Also right through the clear coat and paint down to metal

I would have gone out of my mind, seriously! Great you're giving it specialist attention  that makes the difference! People who care about their car

Not again!
Yes again. :(

And another assault greeted me this morning:

Normal bird shit:

I actually don't have a f**king clue what kind of bird was responsible for this. Probably the Mrs judging by the volume:

Look at it! Just... look at it! :pinkeye:

That's the lesser spotted jalfrezi pigeon calling card by the look of it...

We'll have some of this in the kit bag in the morning to help if needed:

Haha! That'll do it. Luckily it was reasonably fresh and hosed off without too much bother! Cheers, though!

(Actually, I may need to take you up on that offer yet - we'll see what "gifts" the morning brings!)

One of my new toys:

(other one is still bubble wrapped, to be revealed another time)

I feel for you, but you'd have to see what a seagull does: multply this by 4 at least. And if you don't clean it within 12 hours it penetrates right through and can't be removed anymore!
It is probably due to the seafood and lots of salt and other stuff they are eating

Rob... you finally gave in to temptation and got that cover!
Yeah... I decided at the start of the day that I'd wait until the very end and if no-one else had bought it in the meantime I'd get it.

He threw in a Performance Puma T-Shirt as well!

Have to clean the rest of your engine now :p

There is the whole issue of having to clean up the engine bay if I want to show it off, which I don't generally bother with.

you'll know it's there, Rob. That's all that matters. Amongst the oil and grime you will have a shiny new carbon engine cover and no one can take that away from you :-D

It'll look ridiculous in my grubby engine bay, OCD won't allow me to put it in until I've doused it all in degreaser and scrubbed everything with a toothbrush.

Good lord,

Seeing that was from a bird, we must be thankful that cows cannot fly
