Has the price of oil gone up massively across the board? Below is a link to a thread from this time last year but now it's over double the price from the same place, is this just the reality of prices today? Do I just bite the bullet and buy or is it worth waiting for an Easter deal?

That's nearly the 'MSRP' price

This looks the same:

Type VBOX963 in Gift Certificate/Promo Code box, and get 12.5% discount, making it £23.10 delivered.

Cheers to you both

I'll order some from carparts4less then. The genuine parts service kit from Germany has gone up a couple of quid the same as this but not going to complain about an extra tenner over what I paid last year considering how much some things have gone up by.

Thanks again

Hi,
Back in the good old days(When you cold buy an E type for £750) I used to buy Shell four seasons 20/50 for eighteen shillings (90 P) a gallon at Tesco's. Mind you that was back in 1971, would anyone care to work out what that would be in today's terms compared with what I was earning per week which was £11. That just goes to show you how long I have been on the road. Some would say (apologizes to top gear) perhaps to long but I hope to drive my Puma for many years to come.
Regards
Richard.

At the moment, you can get Rocker Cover Gaskets for £39.49 delivered, from National Clearance Centre:

Bad news: By the time I ordered yesterday the 12.5% discount had expired and had been replaced by a 10% discount so it cost me about 60p more than Yog's quote to buy.

Good news: It's already arrived so technically I got the next day delivery for free saving £3.95.

[post]361423[/post] An Etype for £750?.That's spot on .In 1972 i looked at several in that price bracket and finished up buying one for£890.Was funded buy selling my '66 Sunbeam Tiger 260 for £650

Jeez... do you and Richard want to weep when you see the current prices?

Every time I see my older brother (who had a string of MkI Escorts) I remind him of their current pricing - just to annoy him. I think there's a bit of him that dies when I mention it - he still loves them but can't afford one now!

I noticed a significant oil price increase even at Halford the last time I bought a 'top-up' bottle for the boot. Sign of the times, I suppose.
