I heard one person mention cutting and joining the wire but I don't remember how it worked out.
I tried removing the bend on one of mine and accidentally cut through the cable inside.
I soldered it back together and covered it in heat shrink.
It worked perfectly!

Well I fitted the rear axle spacers. I thought the abs sensor needed to be modded to fit??

I had to heat the bolts up for the abs sensors. I think I must of damaged the sensors cause the abs light is on now. So im on the hunt for a pair of rear abs sensors.

Are those bolts the correct tensile strength bolts?

I cant see it too clearly but those bolts look like they have 8.8 on the top of them

You need 10.9 tensile bolts I believe this is a very important safety issue

Also I'm unsure whether using washers is a good idea I would get advice off someone more knowledgeable than me about this.

What size were your spacers by the way?

My spacers are 20mm ones. I thought I would end up chopping the abs sensor up to get it to fit but it was a good fit. Its just a shame I must of fooked them with the oxycetaline.

I drive to work this morning. At first the abs light was on then it went off. The pedal was pumping as if the abs was kicking in then after a while the abs light came back on. Im gonna have a go at trying to reseat the sensors and possibly trim the nsr sensor down.

I know on some abs systems the light will go out then when you start driving the light will come on??

check the sensors don't have any dirt or grease on them as well.

I find that when I have disconnected the rear sensors or disconnected the battery the light stays on when I start the car then It goes off as it should after the self test.

If it comes back on again I suppose its picked up a problem after the self test.

Well like I said the abs light is still on. So rather they arnt sat right or ive caught the wires.

I fixed my abs fault today on my pooma. It looked to me as if the nsr sensor wasnt sitting right in the hole. So I trimmed a bit of the plastic of the sensor.

it was still I bit of a poor fit so I used a die grinder to trim a bit of the rear beam.

The sensor fits spot on now.

Pics of the car.

Looks good! Got me interested in doing this now.
But I've got to realistic got to replace front & rear suspension & tackle some rust before that .

Have you noticed ant change to handling, does car feel more stable at speed?

I havent given it a good test yet but I will do. I would defo do what ive done to the beam for the sensor to fit. I know some people cut the hard plastic part of the sensor off so the wire will move around easier.
