I know the gearchange is notoriously sloppy (as it tends to be on most French PSA cars). Hopfully this car won't have been caned everywhere.

You don't have to - it's just handy. The FRP's ride is pretty boneshaking, and if you have a Piper exhaust like mine motorway commutes can be pretty knackering. That, and they pick up millions of stone chips too. I think it's slightly too hardcore to use daily.

Historically a Ford will have a great feeling gearbox. It's what they do well ;)

Of all the french cars, citroen are by a country mile the best if you ask me. What exactly was wrong with the fiesta though? It passed its mot and its still running. Easier to get parts for a fiesta than a foriegn car.

had a pug 106 (diesel van hehe) for 4 years and managed with my size 11 feet relatively OK. Sometimes had to sit with the side of my foot on the accelerator though to stop me mashing the brakes when I floored it (well as much as you can floor a 1.5 non-turbo diesel).

Ran for ages though with not much care and attention (e.g. 4 years and about 40k miles between oil changes  :D)

think it was over 200K when I got rid of it. Gave it away for free in the end :funny:

If it's a decent condition example, there should be nothing wrong with having it asa little runabout, although it won't be the same as continuing the shitbox fiesta saga :(

saxos are very good for the money mine that i am selling is t reg has done 75,000 miles and i have spent £300 on it in 4 years!!

Went to go and see it this afternoon.

In it's favour, it's been owned by the same family for quite a few years, obviously looked after, had a new cat and a few other bits. No rust either.

Bad points - bit of a scuff on the front bumper, slight clonking noise from the front passenger side on crap surfaces (bushes most likely), and there is no service history.

Aside from that, it looks a good little car. What to do...

all the bits for it a quiet cheep i would say and im sure you could get it up too scratch with very little money spent.

How much are you asking for this one?
