I'm looking for some cheap suspension replacement parts for my rivvy.
Amongst other things I need 2 front wishbones and track rod ends.

I was looking for individual parts but came across this on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-PUMA...|Model:Puma&hash=item45ff5463c1#ht_871wt_1165

Just one anti roll bar link from Ford costs about the same as that whole kit!

Now the big question is, will these be of sufficient quality? Does it really matter?

Would appreciate some advice on this.

I am getting 4 top mounts as well, official ford ones, fordpartsuk have them at 35quid each, anyone know a place to get them cheaper?

And final question: I've settled on this http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?a=i&k=s&p=GMAX40FO44X for a cheap shocks/springs replacement, also lowers the car a tad. Whole set comes in at a moderate 250, which I think is a good price, whadaya think?

Cheers,
Will

Yes and No and maybe lol. Its bit confusing actually as they call the rubber top mounts bearings, which is a nuisance as the fronts also have a bearing on the top which they also call bearings. Its also further confused as theres a few different makes at a few different prices. And even more confusing as some of the rubber top mounts which they call bearings also have pictures of the metal roller bearings with them.

You need 2 front top mounts, and 2 bearings (one for each side) for the front

and two top mounts for the rear one for each side. (these dont have bearings.

Front and rear topmounts are different.

The above top link shows a picture that shows a metal roller bearing included and all the top mounts are sachs.Give them a ring and make sure the metal bearing is included. If not

If you can't afford the genuine parts i'd leave it for a while until you can, your just going to completly spoil the feel of the car, pattern parts get you through one MOT to the next and thats about it. There's a market for them simply because garages buy them VERY cheap and use them on peoples cars to maximise their profits, as they generally get a smaller discount from main dealor suppliers.... with the good markup made on the part and fitting it makes more profit...simple as that....

personally ifeel if you can fit your own parts and save the HUGE amount the garage would have charged then you may as well buy the correct part and get it back to new feel again...

two penneth!..lol
