Attaching show plates

As I don't fancy using elastic bands this year at FITP, can anyone recommend some fixings? (Obviously they'll need to hold my normal plates on all the time too, so will need to be pretty strong!)

I use the heavy duty velcro from Halfords to hold my normal plates and show plates on and never had a problem.

You could always just drill holes in your showplates in the same place as your road plates if you wanted. I did a couple at FITP last year with my cordless drill..ll

You need a remarkably small amount of velcro to hold plates on. You should see how much I use for my front plate
