I have tried and searched all the threads regarding this topic, but didn't find any definitive answer. I got the LSD so obviously the gearbox will go apart. When it will be out of the car, it maks no sense to put in the old clutch. So, here is my dilemma. I am in planning stage of turbocharging the puma (low boost conversion, looking to 160-170 HP max) so am looking for a better (i.e. stronger) clutch.
Option 1: focus Mk1 1.8 clutch. It is 220 mm and is stronger then original. I read it is very soft to operate and that puts some people off. I am not after any club racing, so don't mind the pedal getting softer. Is this something to recommmend, powerhandling vise?
Option 2: fiesta St150 clutch. The catalogues list it as 220 mm as well; is there any difference between 1 and 2?
I understand for either of these options I would need to retain the puma thrust bearing? ( I hope it is the right combination of words; it is exact translation how we call it).
So, I would need either focus 1.8 friction plate and the basket, or fiesta ST150 friction plate and the basket AND puma thrust bearing?
Is there anything else?
Thanks in advance, as always, any info is appreciated
