Hi Sam, would you mind sharing where you bought the mastic 121? I can find it on the fleabay but wondered if I could purchase it from a local hardware store or the like?

Many thanks
Emma

Thanks Sam. Did you apply the mastic with a spray gun? Looks all smoothie smooth and neat under there! :eek:k:

I applied the mastic with a brush, it does come out pretty smooth, if you thin it down it spreads easy :)

there are a few areas that I haven't painted with the mastic, these areas are where new metal needs to be welded in, I will finish the new metal with mastic once it has been repaired, the plan at the moment is to get it all painted and put back together, then i will take it to my friend who will do the welding, get it MOT'd and then get the rear arches repaired and painted, once that is done i can paint the welded parts and its finished hopefully in time for the 15 year FRP meet next month, fingers crossed it will get done in time

lots of progress this week

hopefully get a whole heap of stuff done tomorrow, thanks for reading

disaster has struck! well thats a bit over the top but yesterday i was able to fit and rebuild almost everything under the car, when it came to fitting the rear discs i found they did not fit, anyway after a bit of research it turns out i bought focus RS rear discs not ST170 ones, which have a different offset, anyway ive ordered some more this morning and hopefully they will be here in the next couple of days, in the mean time ive got to try and sell these focus RS rear discs :( its a real pain being so close but so far!

have to admire your dedication, the brake lines would of looked cooler if they had a coloured outers, something bright would of added some extra detail!

Excellent work so far though, looking forward to the next update

Yeah I agree Jay, I actually ordered them in clear braided, but I got black, I'm not fussed though, got a load more pics to post up but haven't had time (too busy putting it back together) good news is it's off axle stands and all bolted together, also filled the tank with jerry cans and crossed my fingers she would start, I imagined it would take a bit of cranking to get her going as the fuel lines were dry and she hadn't run for almost 4 months, but she literally started the second I turned the key, needless to say it was a massive relief!

Awesome, cant wait to see the next batch of pictures. Your inspiring me to get out there and do some more work on mine!!

ok so here is an update, new discs turned up and i was able to get the car finally put back together, also managed to get the wrong ones sent back for a refund, anyway here are some pics:
