I had a front brake hose replaced to get it through the MOT 3 weeks ago. When I picked it up to take it for re-test the brake pedal was really soft. The brakes do pull up sharp if I stamp on it but I am not happy with it although it passed the MOT braking test. I've been on holiday so only driven it a couple of times since the work was done but I just moved the car and got a bit of a fright when I braked! Before I phone the garage to complain can anyone offer an explanation of what the problem could be, please, so I have something to argue about! Thanks. :)

Assuming your brake fluid is topped up/not leaking, it's probably just air in the system which needs bleeding.
