of course it doesnt add bhp!!! but saving a hundred kilos is the same as keeping the weight and adding a few performance parts....it 'effectively' adds bhp

this exact same thing came up on another forum, and someone was getting pretty angry about being told that removing weight doesnt theoretically increase bhp lol

bhp and weight are two entirely different forces, one cannot be altered to directly increase or decrease the other, the only calculation it alters is bhp/ton which is an entirely different measurement to weight or bhp on there own respectively
 
It increases the bhp/ton which is a pretty important number... Probably more important than just bhp alone.
And it makes the car handle sharper and go faster if you set up the weight distribution and suspension properly. Or else you'll just make it worse...
