Rear number plate light

Hi all

The right light for my rear number plate has managed to venture off into the bumper. Ive managed to get it back up to the hole but I cant see how to get it through to clip it in the hole as the clip appears too big to fit through. Do I really have to drop the bumper to do this or is there some knack to getting it out?

Never Mind. Brute force was the key. All sorted :3

broke god knows how many trying to get them out in the past as I always snap the lug

The lugs are very stiff yet also very fragile, not the best bit of design.
