As far as i understand, the Puma wasn't NCAP tested? From my own experience though the Puma is a sturdy little thing With the exception of the above link lol which he must have been giving it the serious beans to do that surely

The engine is designed to take 5w30 semi synthetic, your mechanic's probably assuming "old car=thicker oil"
